The sun was brightly shining and there was not a cloud in sight as we pulled up to the little white house in Cahaba Heights. We couldn’t help but notice the fabulous sheer curtains hanging in front. The aroma of fresh flowers and clean linens seemed to pull us inside. Wedding photographs and wedding dresses hung ever so elegantly in each of the rooms. Tiny pastries and coffee were set out for visitors. A rush of lovely women were busily getting ready for the morning. We were inside Heidi Elnora’s Bridal Salon for her Open House and Ribbon Cutting!
Heidi Elnora is a Project Runway alum and Wedding Dress Designer. You know she has got a special eye for design when southern brides are lining up to try on her newest line. As you walk through her store you quickly begin to realize that she brings southern charm to sheer elegance. Delightful lace and floral details are a couple of the small details to what makes her gowns stand out. Her gowns are now sold in twenty three different stores worldwide. She is quickly becoming a bride-to-know name with features in Brides Magazine, Martha Stuart Wedding, Lucky and The New York Times.
Even with her booming business and huge to-do lists Heidi made sure to talk with and thank all of her guests for attending. Her passion for life and design is exuberant to say the least, but it especially magnified when she talked about her family and friends. Prior to cutting the ribbon, Heidi shed joyful tears of thanksgiving to those who came and who have supported her throughout the years. Her genuine heart seemed to compel everyone to love her gowns even more.
Two of the sweetest aspects to Heidi and her store is the relationship she has with her brides and friends. Each of Heidi’s dresses is named after her closest high school friends, who inspired her last line to feel whimsical, romantic and young at heart. She also has a backroom where past brides send thank you cards and photos of their special day. As you can see, her business is so much more than just a gown or wedding day, but a story of each woman becoming a confident bride.
We extend a special thank you to Heidi Elnora and her wonderful staff for hosting this Ribbon Cutting. We also thank Vestavia Hills Mayor, Butch Zaragoza and City Manager, Jeff Downes for attending the Ribbon Cutting. We are beyond happy to have Heidi here in Vestavia Hills and I am sure that we all wish we could renew our vows just to wear one of her gowns. 😉
