Partners In Education (PIE)

The Vestavia Hills Partners in Education program originated as a class project of Leadership Vestavia Hills. In 2001, the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce adopted this program for implementation by the Chamber’s Education committee.
Partners in Education (PIE) encourages annual, on-going participation by businesses, organizations and others who team up with individual schools or on a system-wide basis to provide in-kind goods, sharing of expertise, utilizing of human and business resources or, if preferred, monetary donations. A partnership is formed between a school and a business, service organization, governmental agency or other group of individuals. Using whatever resources are available to them, the partners share ideas, enrich educational experiences and make contributions to each other.

For their participation, Partners receive print media coverage, recognition in school newsletters and events, recognition in the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce newsletter and events, and a certificate of appreciation. Truly, Partners in Education is a win-win program: the schools and students receive greatly needed assistance, and the business receives the public recognition it rightfully deserves.

The Chamber is proud of their role in enhancing education in our community. If you would like to become a Partner in Education, please contact the Chamber Office at 823-5011.
